Now with iPod compatibility and Pure Direct, this flagship micro-system is a high-end solution for music enthusiasts who demand a compact package with impeccable sound quality.
The inherent classiness of the MCR-E810G vastly improves the pleasure of both listening and browsing an iPod. Yamaha’s optional YDS-10S universal dock offers an aesthetically mature connection that enables improved sound reproduction and convenient remote navigation via the front-panel display.
It’s immediately apparent that no corners are cut in the production of every PianoCraft model. The compact receiver boasts a remarkable 40 watts RMS per channel at the typically low distortion levels accustomed to Yamaha. A high signal-to-noise ratio ensures a certain fullness in its sound reproduction.
The CD module has been thoughtfully upgraded to DVD, enabling versatile formats to be played straight from disc. While the MCR-E810G is obviously designed for music, it offers extended functionality including video, pictures and navigation when connected to an external display device.
The DVD supports progressive-scan and all the latest file types such as MP3, WMA and DivX Ultra video.
Speakers supplied with the MCR-E810G have a robust construction and a finish normally reserved for Yamaha grand pianos. Rated nominally at an impressive 60 watts, they include 5” drivers and 1” dome tweeters, offering a well-balanced sound that is instantly appealing. The receiver also has a subwoofer pre-out if extra bass is desired.
While the MCR-E810G is a complete solution, it still offers flexible connections for multiple auxiliary devices. Outputs up to premium-quality component video and optical audio ensure all that high-end processing doesn’t go to waste. Other features include a 40-station preset AM/FM tuner, linear damping and an intuitive remote control with programmable TV codes.
