Yamaha’s first digital sound projector, the YSP-1, revolutionised home theatre by delivering a true surround sound experience from one convenient component. In the same way, the YSP-800S produces a multiple-channel effect that envelopes listeners in dynamic surround sound.

The advanced and efficient digital design of the YSP-800S incorporates 23 digital amplifiers powering 21 sound beam drivers and two woofers, and in conjunction with Yamaha’s unique CINEMA DSP technology, delivers breathtaking cinematic sound in your loungeroom.

Simple to connect and setup

One-cable connection makes the YSP-800S a breeze to install – no more messy speaker cables! And at the touch of a button, Yamaha’s IntelliBeam system takes care of setup. By monitoring and analysing the sound output using the supplied microphone, IntelliBeam automatically sets the best beam angles and mode, while optimising the level and frequency response of each beam.

The stylish, compact YSP-800S is the ideal partner for 32 inch monitors and TVs and can easily be positioned in the centre or corner of the room, placed above or below the display on an entertainment unit or shelf. It can even be mounted on the wall.

Versatile compatibility and listening options

The YSP-800S can be used for watching movies on DVD, as well as for the enjoyment of digital audio, satellite TV, cable TV, or other multi-channel sources. It is compatible with Dolby Digital, DTS, Dolby Pro Logic II (Movie, Music and Game) and DTS Neo:6 (Cinema and Music) sound formats and features three CINEMA DSP programs - Movie, Music and Sports.

Other great features include Night Listening Enhancer, for dynamic range during low-volume listening and a TV Equal Volume Mode to prevent sudden bursts of loud sound such as commercials.
