Digital sound projection technology
The YSP-1 applies sophisticated digital sound projection technology to precisely control the orientation of the sound by focusing it into beams. The sound is both direct and reflected off the walls so the listener hears sound from the front, sides and back. The result is true

With 42 digital amplifiers driving 40 4cm full-range drivers and two 11cm woofers, the YSP-1 delivers 120W of total power with dynamic bass response. Four different beam modes can be selected via the remote control. Five Beam Mode provides true multi-channel surround sound, Stereo Mode reproduces the effect of a two-speaker system, and a combination of Stereo and Three Beam Mode surround effects are also available.
Stylish slim design, simple connection and flexible placement
The YSP-1 has a long, slim profile, making it a perfect match for flat panel plasma and other types of monitors. Connecting the YSP-1 is much simpler than conventional home theatre systems, because multiple speaker cables are not necessary. The unit is compact and allows for flexible placement — the component can be positioned over or under the display (in the front-centre of the room), or in either of the front corners and can also be mounted on a wall.
Multi-source enjoyment
As a home theatre sound system, the YSP-1 has been designed for enjoying movies on DVD, but it can also be used for digital audio, satellite TV, cable TV, or other multi-channel sources.
